FIVE is a journaling app created by Johann Emrich (Driftland Works). This page explains how FIVE handles your information. The short version: FIVE does not collect your data — there are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking, and we run no servers that receive your content.
Your journal entries
Everything you write in FIVE stays on your device. If you enable iCloud, your entries sync between your own devices through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) using your private iCloud account. That data lives in your iCloud — Driftland Works has no access to it and cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Information we collect
None. FIVE does not collect, transmit or store personal information on any server we control. This matches the “Data Not Collected” declaration on the app's App Store privacy page.
Third parties
FIVE contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking libraries and does not share information with third parties. The only data path off your device is Apple iCloud sync, which you can turn off at any time in iOS Settings.
Security
Because your entries stay on your device and in your private iCloud, their security is handled by Apple's device and iCloud encryption together with the passcode and Apple ID protections you set. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
FIVE does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated effective date.
